Art as a Service

Why?

Works of art can cost a lot. Tou still need and want art in your life, how can you get the pleasure without the prohibitive cost?
For artists and galleries, it’s a predictable income source, with the added option of gaining a repeat buyer.

How?

Rent the work of art you like. Directly from the artist, gallery, or even a unique marketplace. If you fall in love with it and want to keep it, just buy it. Many purchasing options could be used, like deducting the money already paid for rent, having a fixed length leasing contract with a buyout option at the end, etc.

Get Your Store Visitor to Approach You

Why?

It’s hard, awkward and many times doesn’t result in a positive outcome, when you approach a visitor to your store and ask if they need help.

How?

When a visitor comes in, position yourself within his eyesight but too further away to have any comfortable verbal exchange. After a short while, while observing him try and catch their eyes and just – in a “by the way,” familiar and welcoming style – smile and wave at them as if welcoming back an acquaintance, then continue immediately doing what you were and not looking at them. It is very different than anything they usually experience in a store. It breaks the script they have in their mind of how things happen in a store, and if done correctly, will result in many more visitors coming to you and asking for help.

Find a Cheap Ebook Version of Your Books and Save Space While Helping Others

Why?

Most books you read already are likely to sit on your shelf without and further use.

How?

An app that lets you take a picture of a book (or the barcode) recognizes the book and shows you where you can buy it cheaply as an ebook. You can immediately purchase the ebook, and donate the physical copy on your shelf. You win by freeing space for new books, especially the kind that is much better in print (special editions, art albums, etc.), the people you gift the paper copy to win, and the authors and publishers win.
