I Want to Know How Long…

Why?

When I’m waiting in a restaurant or at the car repair shop, I would like to get updates that show on my phone, on how long will it be until the first course arrives, or I’ll get my car back.

How?

Send me alerts with new information as it becomes available.

What’s in a Name?!

Why?

Show how names of people and their lives only mean what meaning they give them.

How?

Stop motion animation of letters. Start with two letters and show examples of famous people and interesting things they have done. Add a letter and do it again. Change a letter, add another one, again and again. Start winding down after a while until only one letter remains: I.

Local Assistant on Demand

Why?

Online assistants in far away countries can be useful, but many things have to still be dealt with in the real world. You might need someone to go stand in line, and fill all the forms at some irritating office.

How?

Have a marketplace for local errands. You specify what you need to be done and where, and the system will match you with local people willing to do the job.

Know When Someone You Follow Is Visiting Your City

Why?

Even though you may follow many public figures online, you don’t always keep up with them daily or even weekly.

How?

Enable public figures to allow their fans to follow them geographically, so when they visit a city their local fans get an alert.
