Insights Message Board

Why?

Share your insights immediately. It serves as a journal for you, as a stimulus to others, and as a place for discussion.

How?

Use existing software (a WordPress blog for instance) to create a place where anyone in the company (or any other organization) can write an insight they just had – immediately and without waiting for the next meeting or report. This helps you journal your insights, helps others by stimulating them, and is a place where this interaction between your insight and it’s stimulating effect on others can create interesting discussions that may lead to more insights and concrete actions.

Find Business Connections by Playing Games

Why?

A fun way to find potential business connections.

How?

An online game club for business people. You play with others and communicate during the games. After a while, you’ll find that some players you like more than others, because of the way they play the game and communicate. It will give you a different view on their characters and help you decide who to connect with in business.

Business Maps

Why?

See how things relate to one another in the business world.

How?

A website that publishes and updates all kinds of business maps: what companies are involved in a specific subject matter, how a well-known company is related to other businesses (ownerships, cooperations, etc.), a famous businessman and his map of business activities, etc. Eventually, these should all be hyperlinked to each other to create a huge map of the business world.

Collaborative Library

Why?

  1. Having every book on a subject of interest is hard.
  2. You rarely actually need to have all the books at hand.

How?

You collaborate with others who are interested in building an extensive library on a particular topic. You rent a space together and furnish it with book shelves. Each one of you contributes their own books on the subject to your library. Each book continues to belong to the person who contributed it, and inventory is prepared and maintained.

One Room Offices for Freelancers, Creators and One Person Businesses

Why?

Many self-employed people would like to work elsewhere than home.

How?

Specialize in creating offices where a one person business (a writer, programmer, marketer) can rent (only) a small room for themselves to work in. They should be inexpensive, modern and simple.
