Random Crowd Sourced Interesting Reads

Why?

To both find stuff you normally wouldn’t and to help search for and receive the best of these interesting reads.

How?

Every reader plays two parts in this system. First, they get random suggestions for interesting reads. Then for every random unrated article they read and rate the also get a one for one credit, and can read an article that was randomly chosen but already highly rated by other readers. Of course, they can rate such an article too – but the more people already read and rated that article, the smaller the credit they get for that. You only get full credit for unrated articles. This way you both help filter the best reads for others and get the best reads from others.

“One” Articles Only

Why?

Daily you can see the following kind of article: “7 simple ways to lose weight,” “10 things to make you happier,” etc. The problem is that, by the time you finish reading through the list you might remember a couple of the items from the ones listed in the article. Implementing them is even more unlikely because it’s hard to do so many.

How?

A place where only “one” articles are published. Instead of “7 habits to …”, the article should be about “One simple habit to …”

What Is Your Version of This Popular Article?

Why?

So you can show others how you would have written it.

How?

An online software/website where you give simple editing tools and a popular original article to anyone who would like to show their version of it – a version that can come to an entirely different conclusion, use a different train of thought, etc. The author of the new version can use any or all text from the original article, rearrange it, do whatever you like to it.

The Editor’s Picks Magazine

Why?

It’s all about credentials. But not the credentials someone else gives, but the credentials the editor gave. Most magazines write about someone or let them write for them because of outside credentials.

How?

Publish a magazine where the only credential that counts is what the editor thinks. Only articles of personal judgment are published. The people profiled are chosen because the publisher and editor regard them highly, even if they are unknown to most of the world. It’s an entirely personal (but explained) point of view in each and every article published.

On Demand Human Created Articles for Personal Consumption

Why?

It would be nice to ask someone to prepare a short article on a subject you would like to read, wouldn’t it?! Let’s say you’re about to travel to a small town in Italy and would like to know a few interesting facts, what to see, some local stories etc. it would be nice if someone would prepare that exact article based on your specific request. Especially if it’s for a very small fee.

How?

Have a team of offshore workers doing it. The more they do the bigger the “database” of online materials they “cut and paste” from grows and the easier it becomes to fulfill such orders (AI can help too.) The main point is not to be original, but to find the right content quickly and create the final document as requested by the customer.
