You are listening to an audiobook, and you hear something you would like to “highlight” or write a note about.
Have a function in your audiobook player to mark a section of the audiobook, phrase or a short sentence. You should also have an option to add your own note to that “highlighted” section. This – converted to text – should be accessible as a list of marginalia in the book.
It would be very beneficial if while reading a book you could not just highlight and make notes about a passage in the book, but also link it to another passage in another book.
Have a new protocol for linking between ebooks. Something that is a standard and works on most platforms like iBooks, Kindle, etc. Make it possible to share these links with others.
It would be very useful to immediately be able to highlight something you read, and have it in an online library with a link to the original document.
Have an iPhone extension (and comparable solution on Android phones) you can use when you read something and would like you can invoke when you selected a text in a document that has a URL. When invoked the extension should save the selected text with a link to the original document URL in your own online repository that you can access anytime on the web or with the app of the extension.
