The One Dish Restaurant

Why?

An everlasting culinary journey.

How?

A restaurant that only prepares and serves one dish – each day a different one, prepared by someone else who is an expert at cooking that dish. Dishes are rarely repeated, only available for one day, take away, delivery or sit-in.

Clear the Clutter in Your Picture

Why?

You see something a bit away from you, but there are objects in the foreground obscuring your view.

How?

A smartphone app that uses the camera to show you the parts you want to see without the obstructing elements in the foreground. It does so by asking you to move the camera in an as large area as you can, scanning the scene up and down, left and right. You then choose the distant object you want to see, and the app will work out – using the multiple exposures it continuously takes when you move the phone around – how to build a picture without the obstructions in the foreground.

Personal Accountability Service

Why?

You can use many tools to “force” yourself to be accountable for your goals. The problem with these is that it’s not very hard to ignore them – they are just inanimate tools.

How?

A human accountability service. You sign up and choose an accountability helper. After an initial talk with them (over the phone), where you set the goals and time intervals, your helper will call you at the agreed upon times and hold you accountable to your long and short term goals. He will ask you what have you achieved from the list you made, what and why of this list was not done, etc. he will then update your online profile with these facts so you can see the history of your achievements.

Professional Services Finder

Why?

You are looking for a new gardening, cleaning, auto repair or other professional services.

How?

Take the old model of asking your friends to a new level by having an online search functionality where you can ask a question like “show me a short list of all plumbers who have good reviews from my online friends.” This can be built on top of an existing social platform, by having a professional service review option. Professional services can have a presence (a company page on Facebook for instance), and people who use them can leave reviews. When you look for a new service provider, the system can then show you the top list based on people you trust – your online friends.

Idea Repository

Why?

There are those who create ideas and those who execute them. Let’s bring them together?

How?

Create a marketplace where people can publish their ideas and others can use them by executing on them.
