Mostly you are influenced by people close to you or the media, as to what you might want to read. What if you could discover an excellent book that you might like that you would never get otherwise?
A website and app where members have first to list any good book they just read. After a while, the system will start producing a list of books by analyzing all the recommendations of the members, finding out the most valued books, and discard all of the books that are publicly popular (by scanning major “best” lists.) The resulting list will have all the best-recommended books that are not publicly popular – the unknown gems.
A shortcut to the best books you must read if a field.
Have experts list books in different areas, from large ones like marketing to specific things like raising a child with X problem.
Wouldn’t you like to know what articles influential and top of their game people read?
Have an online publication that simply lists what they read and recommend. Give them an easy way to share what they’re reading from their computer, smartphone and tablet – a sharing extension that directly publishes to the online publication.
Many already do it. You borrow a book recommended by a family member or friend. It might be useful to have a central and organized place for this.
Use existing platforms (like Facebook Groups) to create a closed private group. Invite your close friends and family members to join, and start recommending and lending books you read to each other. A special platform can also be built, with all the functionality to complement this activity (showing book details automatically, cheap shipping options etc.)
You just finished listening to a piece of music you liked. Now you would like to listen to something new but similar.
It would be good if I could just type a sentence describing the kind of music I would like to hear next. The app knows the last piece of music I listen to and can analyze my sentence and suggest to me the next piece of music I might enjoy.
