New Words You Should Know

Why?

New words are being created daily in various areas of life. Your kids start using new words, the marketing people do the same, as do the chemical engineers, etc.

How?

A subscription where you select areas of interest and the degree to which you are interested in new words (from when they just start appearing on the scene to only if they are de facto standard.) Based on these you will get alerts when new words are discovered.

Subscription to All of an Author’s Books

Why?

  1. For authors it’s a dependable income source, and also creates a community of real fans that can be further monetized.
  2. For fans, it’s a low-cost solution to having their favorite author’s entire oeuvre, a more direct connection to the author and also to belong to a community of like-minded people.

How?

A subscription service for authors that for a very low price ($1/month) gives the readers access to all the books the author has already written. Other facets are can include:
1. Sneak peeks at new books.
2. An online (and offline) community of like-minded people sharing their thoughts.
3. A communication channel for and to the author.
The point is not so much to make a profit out of this monthly fee, as much as to build a community of raving fans that can be monetized by other means like selling special editions, swag, etc.
