Who’s the Fastest Ride Now

Why?

Instead of checking different ride offerings (Uber, Lyft, etc.) for the quickest and/or pickup.

How?

A “meta” app that shows you which service is the quickest to pick you up and which is the cheapest currently.

The Mystery Brands Man

Why?

  1. A new way for brands to get exposure.
  2. A nice stable income for the brands man.

How?

Build a video persona of someone who has an air of mystery. He smokes a pipe, talks in riddles, seems wise and at the same time whimsical.
He will do a video (series) about a brand. He’ll start with a puzzle. The first to solve it gets a prize (provided by the brand.) After a while (1 day, a week, etc.) he’ll do another appearance where he’ll try and help (again with a riddle), and so on until someone finds out who the brand is.
The first to find out gets a big prize. Anyone who tried participated in a raffle for other prizes. Anyone who shared commented, etc. also enters a raffle for more prizes. The more you participate, the more chance you have to win something.
Then he’ll do another series for a different brand, and so on.

Global Tailoring Brand

Why?

  1. For the tailors, it’s a source of high price paying customers, probably ex-pats and tourists.
  2. For the customers, it’s a reliable source for bespoke and tailored garments wherever they happen to be in the world.

How?

Organize local tailors around the world under a global brand.

The Editor’s Picks Magazine

Why?

It’s all about credentials. But not the credentials someone else gives, but the credentials the editor gave. Most magazines write about someone or let them write for them because of outside credentials.

How?

Publish a magazine where the only credential that counts is what the editor thinks. Only articles of personal judgment are published. The people profiled are chosen because the publisher and editor regard them highly, even if they are unknown to most of the world. It’s an entirely personal (but explained) point of view in each and every article published.

A Simple Solution to Having No Spam Sent to Your Private Email Address

Why?

Email is an open system. Anyone can send an email to someone else if they know their address.

How?

An email system following these rules:
1. Only messages from an email address on your whitelist get to you.
2. Any other email is bounced back automatically.
3. You can put email addresses of others on your white list by hand.
4. You can also do so by sending them an email from your address.
5. You can give the other person a one-time token to send you (in the subject for instance) that would automatically put them on your white list permanently, or only allow this one email to pass through to you, and then you can decide to give them permanent or temporary (up to X number of emails, X amount of time, combination of these, etc.)
