Create a Better Connection With Your Startup’s Target Audience

Why?

Building a new product or service relies on feedback from your target audience. Especially when initially testing quickly and repeatedly your assumptions and solutions.

How?

Either create yourself or partner with an existing public establishment (a coffee shop), and have a place where your target audience can hang and get special treatment (free or cheap food and drinks, comfortable armchairs, daily reading materials, and anything that makes them feel it’s “their private club”), in return for their participation and cooperation. A place where you can have planned meeting as well as ad-hoc ones (initiated by either side.)

The Multi-Level Millionaires Club

Why?

Get to know people in your wealth level from all around the globe, and get inspiration and help to get to the next level.

How?

A private online (and offline) community, based on levels of wealth (net worth and monthly income.) The basic level is $1 million in net worth. Each next level is an order of magnitude larger (10X), so the next level is $10 million, the next one $100 million, etc. A member of the higher level has access to all lower levels. Also, a higher level member can be a patron to the next lower level member, if that member is very close to reaching his next level. This patronage offers some perks from the higher level and is a way to help and inspire lower level members to get to the next level. Separation between level is very strict, so a higher level member cannot disclose anything that goes on in his level to lower level members (with some exceptions for patronages.)

Subscription to All of an Author’s Books

Why?

  1. For authors it’s a dependable income source, and also creates a community of real fans that can be further monetized.
  2. For fans, it’s a low-cost solution to having their favorite author’s entire oeuvre, a more direct connection to the author and also to belong to a community of like-minded people.

How?

A subscription service for authors that for a very low price ($1/month) gives the readers access to all the books the author has already written. Other facets are can include:
1. Sneak peeks at new books.
2. An online (and offline) community of like-minded people sharing their thoughts.
3. A communication channel for and to the author.
The point is not so much to make a profit out of this monthly fee, as much as to build a community of raving fans that can be monetized by other means like selling special editions, swag, etc.

The Modern Dating Club

Why?

To help people find each other romantically by using the best of both worlds, offline and online.

How?

First, online. People sign up and fill their profile details.
Second, offline. People go to an event at the dating club. It’s like any other bar or club, with drinks, a dance floor, love entertainment, etc. Only people who registered online can enter the event, and each gets a badge with a number to stick on their chest (similar to what you get at a convention.) When you are there, you try to enjoy yourself, look around until you see someone you like.
Finally, both offline and online working together: you then open the app and type in their number, check their profile, and if you are interested you “poke” them. They get an alert and can check your profile, and if they are also interested they “poke” you back. If that happens, you can look for each other in the crowd (or the app will tell you both where to go to meet each other – you already know how the other one looks) and take it from there. If not you just continue having fun until you see someone new you like and repeat the procedure.
