Reminder Button to Help You Not Forget in the Real World

Why?

It would be helpful if I could remember to do something that is connected to a specific place in the real world.

How?

Have a small button you can place anywhere (magnetic, adhesive back etc.). You record a message on it like “throughout old stuff”, and place it where you need to do what you need to do. When you come close to it it will play back what you recorded.

Servers That Run Only Inside Browsers

Why?

No fixed physical server locations. Ad hoc solutions. Security. Anonymity.

How?

Build a javascript based server, complete with communication stack, encryption, and processing, to enable all this. The code could be easily distributed by including it on any (and many) web page. Running it is just going to a web page with the code on it and giving permissions for the code to do its thing.

Youth Day/Week at Retail Stores

Why?

For the tweens and teens, it’s an opportunity to see how working works and show they can do more. For retailers, it’s a chance for publicity and showing potential future workers it can be a good career.

How?

Have the young adults apply for different jobs at the stores. Interview them and pick the ones that fit. Then train them little by little (could be a whole semester’s course), then have a day or a week when they operate the store (with not so visible supervision.)
