Items Handmade by Kids for Sale

Why?

Some kids have the talent and drive to make beautiful and useful items, but selling them is a problem because most online solutions are geared towards adults.

How?

Build a marketplace for items handmade by kids. The platform should take into consideration the legal and mental situation of the kids selling: their age, parents’ involvement, particular logistical problems, etc.

Combine Online Low Priced Sale and Offline High Priced Sale

Why?

The best time to sell more is when your client just bought something from you.

How?

After completing a low price purchase (that just qualifies them as a buyer), don’t leave the high priced item to an online upsell option. Instead call them immediately, ask them a few qualifying questions and do a whole upsell process (that you can control much better) over the phone (compared to an online simple buy option.)

Control Your Job Interview With a Deck of Question Cards

Why?

Be original and creative, and stand out from the other applicants.

How?

Prepare a deck of cards with questions the interviewer(s) might not ask, but fulfill two qualifications: when read by the interviewer it will raise enough curiosity in him to ask it, and your answer and story regarding it shows you in a good light. Then give the deck to the interviewer and ask them to shuffle and choose any question for you to answer.

Family Synchronized Shopping List

Why?

Avoid both buying the same items twice or not at all because of you either both went shopping (maybe even also one of the kids) or none of you did because you all thought the other one did.

How?

A smartphone app that everyone in the family who does shopping for everyday items installs. There is one shopping list with two views – a shared one with all the items, and your list of the items you chose to do the shopping for. Each person can add a new item to the shopping list, or mark an item in one of two ways:
1. I am going to buy this today
2. Purchased
So if you know that on your way home from work you are going to pick up milk and eggs, you mark them as “I’ll get this,” so others can see that it’s been taken care of and not plan on buying it too. When you bought the item, you mark it as “purchased.” You can also purchase an item someone else is going to if it’s not purchased yet, by “stealing it from them” and marking it as “I’ll get it.” In that case, the other person already planning on buying it will get an alert.

One Click Online Actions From Offline Advertising

Why?

Enable the use of QR codes to perform actual online actions like liking a Facebook page, requesting a coupon, or even quickly ordering a product or service.

How?

A two part solution. The first part is a text-based command protocol that can be embedded in any QR code containing the action to be taken. The second part is a special QR code app that understands these commands and uses the scanned command in conjunction with existing data on the smartphone (Facebook account, phone number, credit card, email address, etc.) to execute the command with one fast QR code scan.
