Share Your Analog Past With Your Friends
Why?
Just because the old pictures you find are prints and are not available digitally, doesn’t mean you can’t share them immediately with your friends.
How?
Simply take a picture of the printed picture and share with your friends on Facebook, or send by email. The objective is sharing and reminiscing, not the quality of the image. An app could also be created specifically for nostalgia picture between friends, but it might be redundant.

Inspire by Sharing Your Learning Experience
Why?
When you start learning something new, it takes some time to “get the knack” of how to do it. It is frustrating and can stop many from continuing.
How?
Have a place where people can share their learning experience. They can film a series of short movies showing themselves while learning, trying, failing and slowly succeeding (and also giving tips along the way on what worked for them), then upload them so others can see the development from phase to phase. It will demonstrate that things can take time, and it’s worth persevering and inspire others to do the same.

An Easy Way to Write a Journal
Why?
Many would like to have a journal of important things that occur to them during their day, every day. Thoughts, ideas, experiences, etc. Many don’t because it can be hard. You need the discipline to make it a habit, and it’s hard to remember later what seemed a good entry at the moment it occurred.
How?
An app you can – at a push of a button – record your short entry right after it occurred. Just say it to your smartphone’s mic and it will be forwarded to someone who will transcribe and edit it. Next day you will see all the entries of the previous day in chronological order correctly edited. You can share the online journal if you wish, with particular people or the world, and even get a printed copy for a given period as a book.

See Who Else Is Sailing in the Area Around You
Why?
It’s fin to see who are also sailing in your area.
How?
An app that shows a map of your area with others (who are also using the app) showing their place on it. When you first launch the app, you will need to create a profile for yourself, and choose the size of area you are willing to share your location in (for safety reasons you might want not to share your sailing location with the whole world.)

Who’s the Fastest Ride Now
Why?
Instead of checking different ride offerings (Uber, Lyft, etc.) for the quickest and/or pickup.
How?
A “meta” app that shows you which service is the quickest to pick you up and which is the cheapest currently.
