To see how it was and get some insight as to what changed and what didn’t.
A website or app. Put your everyday life in the context of a different period. Select a time and the type of person and get to read, see and hear what his daily life was like.
You have picked up a couple of new daily habits. These are already habits, so you don’t need to remind yourself to do them. Now you are on vacation, and everything falls apart – you forget to do them.
Before going on your vacation make an appointment in your calendar to remind yourself to do what is usually a habit. Look at your itinerary and for each day decide in advance when you are going to perform a given habit, and block it in tour calendar. This is only tentative, as you are on vacation, and things flow differently than at home, but at least you’ll get a reminder. If you used a habit tracking app, you could also start using it again.
There are many things you can do that are good for you, but you still don’t do them, because they are complicated, take long, are hard to do, etc., or you don’t know about them.
Get a daily tip; that is easy and straightforward to do. You don’t have to do them all, or even many of them. Because you get one every day, you can pick and choose one to try (each one is simple and easy) from time to time, and after a while, some will become a habit.
It looks like the research in the past ten to twenty years has shown that carbohydrates are the main culprit in many health problems.
An app that lets you input the food you eat by searching, selecting from a list or taking a picture and letting the app recognize the food. The app keeps track of the food, and it’s carbohydrate content (and as a bonus also of other nutrients needed) and tells you how much you consumed so far today. This way you can control your intake much better.
Alerts are an excellent tool to keep yourself informed on your market, and there are a few good services already, some even free like Google alerts. They are, however, inaccurate at best, and time-consuming at worst.
Have your automatic alerts be curated by a personal assistance service. You have a session with your account assistant where you explain exactly what you are looking for in those alerts, and what should bot reach you. From that point on all your alerts will be filtered and edited by your assistant(s). You will get a daily (or even hourly) digest of all the alerts you need. You can even ask for them to synopsize long articles to help you get to the meat of things.
