Build a game around each chapter of the book. For instance, after reading the first chapter, the reader has to realize what is the most important word, sentence, concept, etc. in that chapter. He then has to communicate this (website, email, SMS, etc.) to you. If he is correct, he gets a bonus (an extra short story about the main character, a badge, a tip, etc.) If he is not correct or a bit off he’ll get some help to arrive at the right answer. Each chapter has a different game, and if they make it to the last one, they get a big bonus.
The objective is not to make it hard, but fun and rewarding, so they are motivated to continue and maybe also spread the word about it.

It would be beneficial in some cases to have a certified publication time for something you published online.
A service you subscribe to, that saves the published content at a given URL with a time stamp. You get a badge that shows on that page certifying the time it was published. It links to the original content saved at the service provider.
Insert a short code in the HTML email that will display your message (or one of several rotating messages) with the seal of approval by the “authority” providing the service.
You may want an online persona for many reasons (not just the illegal ones.)
Have a service that sells such pseudo personas that were either previously already created or were created to order in a short amount of time. You can choose how elaborate is the persona: profiles of social networks (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc.), how many email addresses, phone numbers, bitcoin wallet etc.
